Please do not consider me over qualified. I just would like to work and take on something new!

I feel I could be an asset to your company. I’ve been in the construction business for 33 years or more. I started as a carpenter, and then I started three trim crews. I then I did half of the trim for Ryan Homes’ and All of Teal Homes’ (Centex) work. (I specialized in interior trim for 25 years.) I then got into framing and started six framing crews. I excelled in remodeling and renovations over the years. I sub-contracted from almost every good builder in Richmond in the 80’s. I then took on commercial jobs from the ground up.

I soon expanded into building my own new homes as well as drawing my own plans. I then got into drawing sub-division plans along with developing. I built up a site development company and owned my own heavy equipment. I personally operated and serviced the equipment. While dealing one on one with clients I built my up my knowledge in the art of sales and took the leap into Real Estate Sales.

I developed Woodman Trace and Church Trace. I sold the lots as well acting as the Sellers Agent (for myself) on those. I am Class “A” Builder licensed in Virginia and North Carolina as a General Contractor (Unlimited Qualifier). I am a Real Estate Broker on the Outer-banks and an Agent in Virginia.

I have 20 years of commercial and residential experience as a General Contractor, building my projects as well as managing others.

I’ve been hands on in this business for 35 years. I started leveling gravel in basements and crawls for E. Carlton Wilton during the summers when I was 15 yrs. old.

I have extensive “Site Development Skills”. I am familiar with all aspects of site construction such as being a certified land disturber, DEQ, Army Corps. of Engineers, wetland delineations, specifications and operate Heavy Equipment etc.

I owned Vass Homes Inc. in Goochland 10 years ago. I handled 20 homes at a time for my company and close to 30 for other builders as they were under construction.

I also have managed jobs for Dobson Builders, Prospect Homes and Soden Builders as well as managing their commercial jobs.

I am mechanically inclined. I am an inventor. I have computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Quicken, Peachtree etc.

I have good people skills and I am used to running a “Project” or a “Workforce”.
